Our Chinese cabinets are made of natural or lacquered wood. The oldest among them – from the 17th and 18th C – are characterized by perfect proportions, great elegance and worn lacquers that look like magnificent abstract paintings.

When furthermore they happen to have kept their original metal parts, they are not just a piece of furniture, but a true collector’s item. The antique raw timbers, the original metal parts, the worn patinas and lacquers are promises of an unheard of, very Wabi-sabi quality. Some extremely rare items behold a museum quality.
